Inserting the thing while sobbing

Thinking about the books in the shelves

About the trees dead for nothing currently useful

Accelerate

Catching the blond hairs

Thinking about Jesus Christ

So big, it is quite hurting

Entering the whirlpool, the prior door before death

Being like a knight coming from Hell

Grabbing the cushions

Throwing everything’s near

Being only one without voodoo rituals

Feeling Love on both sides

And the carnival is over

He, thinking about nothing

She, thinking of Him; and the mess

Nothing more than nothing less

Then I did

They drove me back and he left with her. I got into the door, said
goodbye, turned on the radio, found a half-pint of scotch, drank
that, laughing, feeling good, finally relaxed, free, burning my fingers
with short cigar butts, then made it to the bed, made it to the edge,
tripped, fell down, fell down across the mattress, slept, slept, slept…

In the morning it was morning and I was still alive.
Maybe I’ll write a novel, I thought.
And then I did.
